Ezra H Liechty

Ezra H. Liechty, Jamestown, North Dakota, went to be with his Savior on February 14, 2015, at the age of 93. He was born to the late John and Clara (Witmer) Liechty on their farm in Brinsmade, ND on March 8, 1921. After graduating from North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, MN, he married Marguerite Edlund on June 17, 1944. Ezra farmed and built and managed multifamily housing while living in Jamestown while raising their four children. Ezra is survived by children, Jayne (Jim) Meyer and Janet (Dave) Asp as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews; brothers, Jon (Elsie) Liechty, Silas (Martha) Liechty and Reuben (Clarice) Liechty, all of Jamestown, ND. He was preceded in death by his beloved Marguerite in 2010, married for 66 years, his son, Wayne Liechty, daughter, Carol Richards, and son-in-law, Arlen Richards. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Adam Liechty, Paul Liechty and sister, Ruth Liechty.

We will say goodbye to this wonderful man on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Wayne Bangs, officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church on Friday one hour before the service.
Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown on Friday at 2:30 PM.
