Faye Knoblich

November 17, 1918 — April 26, 2016

Faye (DeKrey) Knoblich, 97 died Tuesday, April 26, 2017 at Eventide Jamestown. Faye Whitman was born in Kidder County, near Robinson, ND on November 17, 1918 to Jay P. and Lena (Russ) Whitman.
She attended the local rural school and graduated from Robinson High School in 1938. She received her teaching certificate from Valley City College. She taught school in surrounding counties and in the western part of the state.
In 1947, she married Fred DeKrey and they lived at Bowman, ND and later moved to Jamestown, ND. Fred passed away in 1977. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's group of which she was an active member, also was a member of the bell choir.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, crafts and was a devoted and loving daughter, mother and grandmother.
In 1984, she married Gottlieb Knoblich and they lived in Jamestown. He died in 2007.
She is survived by one step-daughter, Kaye (George) Shriver, Prescott, AZ. Two step-grandsons, Mark and Jon Shriver, and five step-great grandchildren. Two sisters, Nora Sannes, Fargo, ND, and Alpha (John) DeKrey, Pettibone, ND. Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, (Fred DeKrey and Gottlieb Knoblich), her son, Ross DeKrey, one sister, Una Kolberg.
Funeral Service; 11:00 AM, Saturaday, April 30, 2016 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Elmo Herman officiating.
Visitation; One hour before service.
Burial; Weiser Cemetery, Pettibone, North Dakota
