Fern Hansen

Fern M. Hansen, 89, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital in Jamestown.

Fern Danzeisen was born March 6, 1917 in Flasher, North Dakota the daughter of James A. and Nellie (Peterson) Danzeisen. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Flasher and also confirmed there on June 7, 1931. Fern graduated from Jamestown College in 1938. On April 4, 1948 Fern married Emlin Hansen in Lark, North Dakota. She taught in North Dakota schools for 17 1/2 years.

Fern was a member of Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jamestown and the Ladies Aid.

Fern is survived by her husband, Emlin of Jamestown; three daughters, Arliss (John) Errera, Genoa, IL, Lila (Vernon) Rousu, Arlington, WA and Jane (Lee) Murch, Jamestown, eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and numerous family members.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Our Savior's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Eric Libby officiating.

Visitation: 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 21, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND, at a later date.
