Ferne Finch

Ferne Finch, 88, Jamestown, ND, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND.

Ferne Heille was born September 26, 1924, in Jamestown, ND to George and Marie (Ebling) Heille. Ferne attended and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1942. After graduation she worked at the mail order desk at Montgomery Ward. On September 17, 1944, she married Jerry Finch. Ferne also had childcare in the home for twenty-six years. She belonged to St. John's Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary. Ferne enjoyed bowling, golf, walking and playing pinochle.

She is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Tony) Ingle, West Fargo, ND; one son, David (Pam) Finch, Denver, CO; four grandchildren, Jennifer (George) Woodward, Andrew (long time friend, Becky), Kirsten (Jayme) Berger, Ryan (Katherine) Finch and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
