Florence Brady, 83, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center in Jamestown, where she had resided for 8 years.

Florence Marjorie Foster was born November 10, 1922 at Pingree, North Dakota to John Thomas and Henrietta (Dudley) Foster. She went to school in Round Top and Lyon Townships and one year of high school in Big Lake, MN. She helped at home for several years. In 1942 she went to Seattle, WA to work. While there she married Donald Fowle on April 13, 1943. They made their home in Seattle for several years until returning to North Dakota to farm, which they did for several years in the Pingree, Buchanan and Fried area. She started working at the State Hospital in 1956 and was named Psychiatric Aide of the Year in 1963. After receiving her GED certificate in 1968, she continued working at the State Hospital as Unit Manager/Supervisor. In 1976, she and her husband moved to Jamestown after having lived in Buchanan for several years. She retired in 1985. Her husband died in 1988. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary and Senior Citizens. She married Charles Elden Brady on April 18, 1992, and continued living in Jamestown. She then became active in the Pingree Congregational Church and Ladies Aide, the Pingree Senior Citizen, and the Gideon's Auxiliary.

Florence is survived by her husband, Elden Brady; her daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Vance Jury, Fullerton, ND; granddaughter, Barbara (Steve) Britsch, and their children, Matthew and Kayla, Devils Lake, ND; grandson, Russell Jury, Bloomington, MN; stepson and daughter-in-law, Charles (Chuck) and Judy Brady, Jamestown, ND; stepgrandsons, Charles and Jill Brady and their children, Micah and Jonah; Cambridge, MN and Eric and Calli Brady, Fargo, ND; two sisters, Pearl (Ronald) Olson, Idaho and Alice (Jim) Raught, Washington; one brother, Bruce( Myrna) Foster, Washington; one sister-in-law, Myrna (Wallace) Foster and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; two sisters, Mary (Donald) Chadduck and Lucille (Harry) Lonski; two brothers, Warren and Wallace Foster; three brothers-in-law, Leland (Bud) Ahlers, Jerome (Harry) Lonski and Donald Chadduck and one sister-in-law, Myra (Warren) Foster.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Pingree Congregational Church with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
