Florence Charlotte Christine Krause

Florence Krause, 74, Jamestown, died Friday, May 9, 2003 from an automobile accident near Austin, Nevada.

Florence Charlotte Christine Essig was born July 18, 1928 near Lehr, North Dakota the daughter of Walter and Ida (Widmer) Essig. Florence was baptized August 19, 1928 at King Community Church, rural Lehr, ND. She attended rural schools near there and was confirmed in 1942. In 1948, she went to work at Trinity Hospital in Jamestown, ND until the hospital closed in 1966. On April 16, 1950 she married Marvin Krause at Lehr, ND. She worked twenty-four years for Bostwicks in Jamestown, retiring in July of 1990. Florence was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Ruth Circle, AAL and a church quilting group.

Florence is survived by two brothers, Roland (Adeline) Essig of Bismarck, ND and Clyde (Shirley) Essig of Lehr, ND; two sisters, Ella (Bernard) Dudgeon of Bismarck, ND and Marline (Lloyd) Ulmer of Mandan, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral Service: 11:00AM Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Robert Leiste officiating.

Visitation: One hour before service on Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
