Floyd L. Frederick, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, January 6, 2008 in Broomfield, Colorado.
Floyd was born October 22, 1927 in Buchanan, ND, the son of Herbert and Mabel (Reimers) Frederick. He grew up in the Buchanan area and attended Buchanan schools. On January 25, 1947 he married Alice Daugs in Jamestown. Floyd farmed west of Buchanan all of his life. In 1972 they moved to Jamestown. Floyd built many homes in the Broomfield, Colorado area from 1980 to the early 1990's. He was considered a ""jack of all trades.""
Floyd was a member of the Buchanan School Board and the Buchanan Elevator Board for many years. He was also a member of the Elks and Lions club in Erie County.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Alice, of Jamestown; one daughter, Gloria (Roger) Martin, Wichita, KS; one son, Lyle (Mary) Frederick, Longmont, CO; eight grandchildren, Corey, Christopher, Stacey, Cody, Samantha, Spencer, Marshal & Zoe; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Virginia) Frederick, Lake Havasu, AZ and four sisters, Ione (Jack) Bronson, Montana, Ilene (Charles) Erickson, Nortonville, ND, Gaye Kittelson, Wimbledon, ND and Lorraine Klundt, Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Timothy; two sisters, Mertis and Fern and one brother, Gerald.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel in Jamestown with Pastor Terry Anderson officiating.
Visitation: None scheduled
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Building Fund or the American Heart Association.
