Floyd Iverson

March 28, 1933 — February 4, 2005

Floyd Iverson, 71, of Jamestown, ND died Friday, February 4, 2005 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown, after a battle with cancer.

Mr. Iverson was born March 28, 1933, in rural Maddock, ND, the son of Selmer and Christine (Brandvold) Iverson. He graduated from BCATS in Maddock in 1951. Floyd married Cecil Salisbury in 1954 in Maddock. After high school, he worked for the U.S. Geological Survey. In 1952, Floyd was employed by the Great Northern Railway. He worked several town across North Dakota, including Williston, Mandan, New Rockford, and Fargo until his retirement in 1995. They moved to Jamestown in 2002, and he entered Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home on January 19, 2005.

Floyd enjoyed playing the piano, old cars, and sport.

He is survived by his wife, Cecil Iverson, Jamestown; two daughters, Cheryl (Roger) Olson, Williston and Kathi Seely, Brainerd, MN; one son, Steven (Arlette) Iverson, Jamestown; seven grandchildren; one brother, Harry (Helen) Iverson, Minot, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a twin brother, Lloyd.

Funeral Service: 10:00AM, Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Victory Lutheran Brethran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Shawn Bowman officiating.

Visitation: Monday, February 7, 2005 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM a the funeral home.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM, Monday, February 7, 2005 at the funeral home.

Burial: Minnewaukan Cemetery, rural Minnewaukan, ND.
