Frances Dorscher

Frances Dorscher, 100, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at her home.

Frances Josephine Clemens was born January 3, 1905 in Eldridge, ND the daughter of Frank and Helena (Stine) Clemens. She attended the local rural school where she received her elementary education and grew up. In 1946, she moved to Jamestown with her parents. On November 2, 1946, she married Kenneth G. Dorscher. They lived in Jamestown and farmed 1/4 section of land near Eldridge. Frances and Kenneth were married fifty-three years. She enjoyed playing rummy and played 3000 hands in the year she was 100 yrs. Old. Frances loved to sew, working in her flowers and watching the birds. She enjoyed visits from a special baby, Riley. Frances was a life member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Frances is survived by a niece, Bonnie (Don) Bell, Auburn, WA; two nephews, Douglas (Sheryl) Clemens, Bloomington, MN and Curtis Clemens, Des Moines, WA; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneht, one brother, Edwin and one sister, Margaret.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Dennis Ellingsen, officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 5 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemtery, Jamestown.
