Frances D. Duwe, 98, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown. Frances was born March 27, 1904 in Woodworth, ND, the daughter of Dallas & Elizabeth (Clark) Draper. She attended school in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1923. Frances married Charles Burgett in February 1925. They lived in Portland, Oregon and had one son, Richard. She married Walter Wink June 14, 1943 and he died August 25, 1954. On December 6, 1957 she married Albert H. Duwe. He died February 9, 1961.
Frances worked in Jamestown as a night telephone operator for Northwestern Bell for 31 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Jamestown.
Frances enjoyed flower gardening, reading and being a grandmother.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jean Burgett, Jamestown; one grandson, Paul (Heather) Burgett of Waterloo, IA and three sisters, Amy Zink, Jamestown, Hazel Williams, Portland, OR and Marjorie (Burrell) Ellis, Nampa, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, son (Richard Burgett), three brothers (Harold, Richard and Wilbur) and two sisters (Helen Herring and Harriet Draper).
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM - Monday, March 10, 2003 at the First Church of the Nazarene, Jamestown with Pastor Richard Reynolds officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM - Sunday, March 9, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
