Frances Marie Musland

Frances Marie Zinter was born December 18, 1917, in Dickey Co, North Dakota, the daughter of Gustav and Rosa (Warner) Zinter. She was confirmed on July 29, 1934 and graduated from Monango High School where she played basketball and was a gymnast. Frances graduated from Ellendale Normal and Industrial College with a degree in teaching and taught school at Albion Township, near Ellendale, and then in Willowbank Township, near Edgeley. It was there she met and married Milton Musland on June 11, 1940 in LaMoure. They settled on the farm Milton had purchased in 1938 where they spent their 65 years of married life. Frances enjoyed working alongside her husband and spending the last 20 years of their marriage in Mesa, AZ. Milton died August 7, 2005 and Frances later resided at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Evelyn (Lyle) Sjostrom, Jamestown, ND; three sons, Richard Musland, Edgeley, LeRoy (Darlene) Musland, Edgeley, and Clarence (Mary) Musland, Edgeley; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Bork, West Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Bernice and Florence; and brothers, Ernest and infant Paul.

Frances M. Musland, 98, of Edgeley, ND, died Friday evening, July 22, 2016 at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Edgeley with Pastor Jordan Gackle officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley.
