Frances Rall

Frances (Murray) Rall was born July 23, 1910 to Edward and Mary (Smith) Murray on a farm southwest of Fullerton, ND. She was raised and attended school in the Fullerton and Merricourt area where her parents farmed.
Frances married Allen Rall on December 15, 1931 in Aberdeen, SD and they made their home on a family farm south of Merricourt. They later moved to Gardner, ND and farmed in the Red River Valley.
Frances was a member of the United Methodist Church of Edgeley. She always enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and making people laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Over the years she worked as a cook and waitress in Edgeley, ND; was postmaster in Merricourt, ND and ran the grocery store and café in Merricourt. At the age of 81 she retired from working at the Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley, ND.
Frances is survived by five daughters: Sharon Aberle, Edgeley, ND; Janice (Earl) Podoll, Edgeley, ND; Cheryl (Rod) Ness, Edgeley, ND; Valdene King, Edgeley, ND; Diane (Ken) Mathern, Longmont, CO; 1 son, Vincent (Marlene) Rall, Freemont, CA; 31 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Arlene; a son, Gary; one daughter-in-law, Myrna Rall; two sons-in-law, Wilbert Pahl and Simon Aberle; 4 sisters: Edith Maly, Bessie Maly, Effie Zenter and Leah Murray.
Frances departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the St. Rose Care Center at LaMoure, ND. She was 97 years old.

Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Visitation - 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Sunday.
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
