Frances Senger

Frances (Hilzendeger) Senger, 79, of Edgeley, ND, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015, in West Fargo, ND. Frances was born on July 18, 1935, in Napoleon, ND, to Magdelena (Schutt) and Michael Hilzendeger. When she was 3 years old, her parents moved to Edgeley, ND, where she lived most of her life. She lived at home helping on her parents’ farm with her brothers and sisters until she was 18. In 1953, she married Paul Senger in Edgeley at Transfiguration Catholic Church where she was a member all her life. They had five children whom they raised in Edgeley. She was a wife, mother, and cook. Cooking was one of her talents. She owned and operated a catering business for many years and catered many weddings and banquets. In her leisure time, she thoroughly enjoyed dancing old time music and lit up the dance floor. In 2006 she married Stanley Wald. She had many good lifetime friends that she loved spending time with. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, 9 siblings Elizabeth, Anthony, Joseph, John, Anne, Bill, Mary, Carol and Linda.

She is survived by her brothers, Valentine and Peter; spouse, Stanley Wald; children Jim, Patty (Dean) Johnson, Karen (Tony) Geiger, Jeanie, Shari (Eric) Burke; her grandchildren Melissa (Kevin) Kennelly, Paul Johnson, Jennifer(Craig) Gierke, Ashley Walters, Ben (Karissa) Geiger, Sarah Geiger, and Halen Burke; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service – 10:30a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley.

Visitation - 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Vigil : 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment – Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
