Frank Bennett

Frank S. Bennett, 78, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at his home.

Franklin S. Bennett was born September 14, 1938, in Randall, MN, the son of Albert and Ella (Nieuwsma) Bennett. He grew up in the Ypsilanti and Tappen areas. Frank was working in Ft. Pierre when he met and eventually married Frances Paulson on April 28, 1961 in Pierre, SD. They made their home in Jamestown since the spring of 1965. Frank and Phil Pekarski formed a partnership for a short time in the construction business. Eventually Frank went into the construction business on his own and also was a mechanic in the winter months for William Maulding Trucking and Melland’s in Jamestown. Frances passed away on August 17, 2010.

Frank is survived by daughter, Julie (Greg) Mittleider, Gackle, ND; daughter, Karla (Todd) Hockert, Beverly Hills, FL; son, Kevin Bennett, Montpelier, ND; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Sara Jo), Mirissa, Ashley (Blake), and Zachary (Shanna) and their children, Teegan and Carter; brother, Kenneth (Vicki) Bennett, Ypsilanti; and brother-in-law, Nels (Dorthy) Paulson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Albertus; nephew, Allen Bennett; niece, Tammy Paulson; and sister-in-law, Rosella Bennett.

Funeral Service : 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Montpelier Lutheran Church, Montpelier, ND with Pastor Terry Anderson officiating.

Visitation : 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Interment : James Valley Cemetery, Ypsilanti, ND.
