Frank Liegman, 84, of Bismarck, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND.
Franklin D. Liegman was born January 2, 1933, in Courtenay, ND, the son of Peter and Madeline (Koushkouski) Liegman. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Courtenay. Frank had his own semi and drove truck for many years. On October 11, 1968 he married Inez (Cresap) Kamphuis at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Courtenay. Frank worked for Farmers Union in Wimbledon, ND for 10 years and then for Ladish Malting Co. in Spiritwood until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed woodworking and helping with farm work part-time for Tim Ames and Bob Kaiser. Frank was a member of the Eagles and attended St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Frank is survived by his wife, Inez Liegman; son Duane (Char) Kamphuis; daughter, Renae (Vern) Hoggarth; son, Mark (Jan) Kamphuis; son, Kevin (Elsa) Kamphuis; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Madeline Liegman; brothers, Adolph, John, and Sylvester; sister, Veronica Maruska; and grandson, Brayden Kamphuis.
Mass of Christian Burial : 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Visitation: One hour before the Mass at the church.
Interment: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
