Frank David Stoppleworth

Frank David Stoppleworth, 42, of Jamestown, ND, passed away on January 29, 2017 in Fargo, ND due to difficulties from a prior work injury.

Frank was born on May 28, 1974, in Medina, ND, the son of Dennis and Viona (Kramlich) Stoppleworth. He attended and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1993. Frank joined the National Guard in 1993 and was honorably discharged in 2001. Frank worked at several places until his injury on January 11, 2000. In 1994, Frank became a father with the birth of his first child with Stacey Hahn. Frank and Faith Cox were married December 9, 1995 and together they had three children. On August 6, 2010, Frank and Winter Ely were married.

Frank enjoyed cooking for people, canning, the farm life, his animals, hunting, fishing, building anything, spending time with friends and family. He also enjoyed running derby cars with his brothers, helping his son’s with derby cars, helping his son, Lane, with his race car, and spending time with nephews and nieces. Franks greatest joys were his children, grandson, Liam (Grandpa’s buddy), and his dog, Kisser.

Frank is survived by his wife, Winter, Jamestown; mother, Viona Stoppleworth, Jamestown; children, Maranda (Preston Symonds) Guthmiller, New Rockford, ND, Terrica (Chris Perleberg), Jamestown, Lane, Wahpeton, ND, Bradley, Jamestown, Desiree Parsons, Cooperstown, ND, JoZee Vondal, Jamestown, and Paul Vondal, Valley City, ND; grandchildren, Liam and Ashton; sisters, Liza (Randy) Danielson, Linda (Allen Buchanan) Stickel, Susie (Tena Stickel) Stoppleworth, and Lucy Stoppleworth, all of Jamestown; brothers, Cliff (Becky) Stoppleworth, Jamestown, Roy (Khristal) Stoppleworth, Ellendale, ND, Hank (Krystal) Stoppleworth, Ypsilanti, ND, Merle Stoppleworth, Jamestown, and Ross (Ashley) Domino) Walch, Jamestown; great-grandmother, Estella Hehn, Jamestown; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jeff Zuck, John Scruggs, Shad Lemon, and Josh Buss.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis; brother, Joe; sister, Loretta; niece, Baylee Stoppleworth; father-in-law, Ron Ely; paternal and maternal grandparents.

Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2017, at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation : 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017, at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service : 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Interment: Spiritwood Cemetery, Jamestown.
