Fred Mutschler

Fred ""Freddie"" Mutschler, 77, Spiritwood Lake, ND, died Sunday, February 1, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Fredrick George Mutschler III was born March 23, 1931, in Valley City, ND, the son of Fritz and Dorothy (Mohr) Mutschler. He attended school at Clementsville through the eighth grade. Fred married Marlys Hamann on June 9, 1950, in Wimbledon, ND. They farmed and operated a spraying business near Wimbledon. In 1978, they moved to Jamestown. In 2004, Fred moved to Spiritwood Lake. Marlys passed away on December 3, 2004. Fred's passions in life were his ""bride"", farming, and flying.

Fred is survived by two sons, Don (Cathy), Mesa, AZ, and Rick, Wimbledon; a daughter, Sue (Dan) Greshik, Courtenay, ND; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; and a sister, Marlys (Robert) Pellin, Branson, MO.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a brother, John; and an infant daughter.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 - 6:00PM, Friday, February 6, 2009 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND, in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, Fred's family suggests memorial contributions be made to Prairie View Cemetery in Wimbledon.
