Frieda Geidt Ebele

Frieda Ebele, 90, Fargo, North Dakota died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Villa Maria in Fargo.

Frieda Geidt Ebele was born in Venturia, North Dakota in Mcintosh County on September 12, 1917, the daughter of Peter Johann and Katherine (Schaible) Giedt. When she was two years old the family moved to a farm near Lehr, ND. There she started school. During the depression the family moved to Gackle, ND where Frieda finished school. She worked for a short time at the Gackle Café. The family then moved to Jamestown, ND in 1941.

Frieda worked at the Majestic Café for four and half years prior to working for the S&L Department Store, where she worked for ten years.

Frieda married Albert Ebele on December 20, 1957. They lived on a farm in Sharlow Township until they retired from farming in 1991. They moved to Jamestown in 1993. After being widowed in 1995 Frieda then moved to Fargo, ND in 1997.

Frieda was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Ladies Auxiliary.

Frieda is survived by her son, James (Chris) Ebele of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren, David Ebele, Fargo, Lynore (Craig) Vigen, Fargo and Eric Ebele, Phoenix, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Bryan Vigen, Ft. Hood, TX, Timothy (Tara) Vigen, Ft. Campbell, KY and Johnathan (Kelly Burow) Vigen, Fargo, ND and three great-great grandchildren, Taylor, Rylie and Lily.

She was preceded in death by husband; parents; six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Monday, December 3, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Terry Anderson officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home, in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
