Frieda Patzer

Frieda Patzer, 92, Jamestown, North Dakota, died March 1, 2007 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.

Frieda Weixel was born September 24, 1914 in Bloomenfield Township, northeast of Streeter, North Dakota, the daughter of Ludwig and Emelia (Weisenberger) Weixel. She was educated in Streeter area schools. On June 21, 1936 Frieda married Markus Patzer at Streeter. They farmed in Stutsman County, later buying a farm near Sydney, where they farmed until they moved to Jamestown in 1968. Markus died September 18, 1976.

Frieda is survived by her four children, Darleen (Elgi) Toman, Baraboo, WI; Darrell (Marjorie) Patzer, Jamestown, ND; Donald (Sandra) Patzer, Grand Island, NE and Gordon Patzer, Chicago, IL; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and five sisters, Edna Clark, Hulda Siegle, Martha Sund, Esther Remboldt, all of Jamestown and Johanna Brych, Bismarck, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter in infancy; three brothers, Ted, Raymond and Elmer and two sisters, Ella Schnable and Gertrude Klose.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, March 5, 2007 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Eric Libby officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Spring Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
