Gary Nustad

Gary Nustad, 62, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Jamestown Hospital.

Gary Roy Nustad was born March 3, 1943 in Williston, North Dakota the son of Roy and Hazel (Trulson) Nustad. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1961 and attended college at Wahpeton and Clark College in Washington. He entered the US Navy on February 27, 1963 and served his country in Vietnam. He was discharged on March 10, 1967. He re-enlisted December 21, 1970 and served until May 10, 1973. Gary received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his service in Vietnam. After his discharge he lived in Vancouver, WA where he worked for Hansen Drilling and then Ash Grove Cement Company. He moved to Jamestown, ND in 1999 and was employed at the Jamestown Country Club.

He enjoyed fishing, having coffee with his buddies, doing handyman work and surfing the web.

Gary is survived by his two children, Danette (Rocky) Scales of Portland, OR and Danny Nustad of Vancouver, WA, three brothers, Billy (Marsha) Nustad, Fargo, ND, Bob (Carol) Nustad, Jamestown and Donny (Corrine) Nustad, Moorhead, MN and one sister, Barbara (Eldon) Huether, Cloquet, MN and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 2:30 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2005 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 15, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
