Gene Jablonski

September 22, 1957 — March 1, 2012

Gene Stacey Jablonski, beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away on March 1, 2012 after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. His peaceful journey home to be with his Creator gives reason for those who knew and loved Gene to be grateful for the Lord's grace.

Gene S. Jablonski was born on September 22, 1957 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Jack and Fae (Carter) Jablonski.

Gene was baptized, received his Christian training and was confirmed at the Zion United Church of Christ in Medina.

Gene received his schooling and graduated from Medina High School. He spent his life being devoted to farming and ranching with his father and brother farming the Jablonski Homestead, established in 1902. He enjoyed helping with the sugar beet harvest in Cavalier for over 20 years. Gene retired from the farm life in 2010 when his illness would no longer allow him to farm.

Gene enjoyed hunting and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Gene leaves a legacy of a life well lived, even in his shortened years. He loved his family, the farm-ranch way of life, and was resilient throughout the demands of his life. He was always there to help; his sense of humor always caught you off guard, and his compassion (including toward his beloved cat) was an example to all of us.

He is survived by a sister, Sharon (Tom) Cummings, Cavalier, brother, Lyle (Laurie) Jablonski, Medina, sister, Marilyn (Victor) Reule, Menoken, sister, Karen (Marvin) Brendel, McKenzie, sister, Vivian Borth-Smith, Bismarck; niece Tania (San) Schaff, Kara (Justin) Schreiner, nephew, Ryan Jablonski, niece, Tammy (Gene) Muth, nephew, Jack (Brandy) Brendel, niece, Fae (Jeremy) Glass, niece, Vickie Reule, nephew, Curtis (Stephanie) Reule, niece, Lindsay Cummings and niece, Alycia Cummings; great nephews and nieces, Shayla and Tucker Schaaf, Addison Muth, Sam and Ashlyn Brendel, Tiernan Glass, Vanessa Bailey and Cole Reule, Shelby and Tyler Butler, and Madeline Reule, Corbin Schreiner, Audrina Schreiner, and Emma Jablonski.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother-in-law Randy Borth-Smith.
