Geneva Kamletz, 95, Jamestown, ND, formerly of Cleveland, ND, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND.
Geneva Gallagher was born August 21, 1915 in Cleveland, ND the daughter of Charles and Mabel Louise (Brooks) Gallagher. She was raised and attended school in Cleveland, ND. In 1932, she married Paul Muldoon and they made their home in Valley City, ND where she owned and operated a café. In 1949, she married Vernon Wolski. Geneva moved to Fargo, ND in 1968 where she cleaned at St. John's Hospital and various office buildings and worked as a receptionist for the Human Service Center. On November 10, 1979, she married Willie Kamletz and they lived in Jamestown, ND and Cleveland, ND.
Geneva was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, ND. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Cleveland, ND where she played the organ. She also belonged to the Montpelier Club and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, Willie; 5 children: Mary Etta (Jack) Moore, Valley City, ND; Cindy (Harry) Groves, Casper, WY; Chuck (Linda) Wolski, Bismarck, ND; Darwin Kamletz, Jamestown, ND; Jan Kamletz, Jamestown, ND; 9 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Byron Gallagher, Edgeley, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first and second husbands; a brother, Edward Gallagher and a great-grandson, Charles Moore.
Funeral - 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor David Fischer officiating.
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Interment - Cleveland Cemetery, Cleveland, ND
