George D. Hieb

George D. Hieb, 88, Pueblo, CO, passed away, Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home. George Hieb was born December 30, 1926 in the homestead house near Woodworth, ND to Jacob and Rosie (Deede) Hieb. George married Sharon Fisher on October 1, 1960. They farmed and ranched in the Woodworth area from 1960-1987, where they raised wheat and registered Hereford cattle. George was a 4-H leader for many years of Woodworth Golden Eagles. He was active on the Water Board, Township Board, Member of the Eagles and Hereford Cattle Association. George was also a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mesa, Arizona and Medina, North Dakota. He was employed with Wal Mart for 15 years in Mesa, Arizona and Lincoln, Nebraska. George married Patricia Hieb on March 14, 1998. George enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. As well as being around horses and cattle with friends and family by his side. George is survived by his wife, Patricia Hieb, Pueblo, CO; children, Mary Jo (Leland) Guthmiller, Pueblo, CO, Sherri Jo (Gary) Pavlicek, Dickinson, ND; step-daughters, Della (Scott) Johns, Lincoln, NE, Carol Bietz, Crete, NE; nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller, Jamestown, ND; brother, Frank Hieb, Cleveland, ND. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon, parents, Jacob and Rose, brother-in-law, Harry Miller, grandson, Chance Pavlicek, brother, Jim Hieb and step-daughter, Diane Bishop.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 30 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bob Forbes, officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Saturday, August 29 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Prayer Service: 6:30 PM, Saturday, August 29 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery.
