Gerald T. Brewer

Gerald T. Brewer, 84, of Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.
Gerald T. Brewer was born April 6, 1926, in Kensal, ND, the son of George and Birdella (Romelfanger) Brewer. He grew up on the family farm near Kensal and worked for area farmers. Gerald entered the US Marine Corp. 3rd Division on November 8, 1951 at Camp Pendleton, CA. After being discharged on November 5, 1953, Gerald returned to the Kensal area where he worked for area farmers. He became employed by the Midland Continental Railroad as a diesel mechanic in 1962. He was united in marriage to Frances Drong on September 23, 1962 in Courtenay, ND. Gerald worked for Burlington Northern Railroad until retiring in 1991.
He was a member of St. James Basilica, Jamestown and the Kensal American Legion for over 50 years.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Frances, Jamestown; two sons, Robert (Amber), Aberdeen, SD, and Brad, Jamestown; four grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Isabella, and Riley; two sister, Alice Pritchert, Valley City, ND and Joyce Ravnaas, Harvey, ND; and one brother, Donald, Redondo Beach, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tom; two brothers, George and James Kenneth (Ella); one sister, Janet; two brothers-in-law, Bill Pritchert and Morris Ravnaas; and two nephews, Jamie and Stephen
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Visitation: 1:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, April 1, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND, later in the spring.
In lieu of flowers: Memorials may be made to a hospice program.
