Gerald Riedlinger, 68, Edgeley, ND, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 at his home in Edgeley, ND.
Gerald Dwayne Riedlinger was born December 14, 1939 at Temvick, ND, the son of Jacob and Helen (Schatz) Riedlinger. He attended a rural school near Hazelton, ND and later the Hazelton School. After his schooling, he worked at various jobs in and around Hazelton. On November 5, 1960, he married Kathern Silbernagel at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Hazelton, ND. In 1970, they moved to Edgeley, ND where he worked at the Cenex Station and the GTA Feed Plant. He retired in 2004 and continued living in Edgeley. Gerald's hobbies were reading, playing cards, fishing, hunting pheasants and the "big" buck and making sausage.
Survivors include his mother, Helen, Strasburg Nursing Home, Strasburg, ND; his wife, Kathern, Edgeley, ND; 3 children: Cynthia (Dean) Anderson, Barney, ND; Genise (William) Cox, Fargo, ND; Shane (Charlotte) Riedlinger, Fargo, ND; 10 grandchildren: Ashley, Whitnie, Lucas, Erica, Amber, Brook, Jackie, Chase, Autumn and Breena; a sister, Jeanette Tschosik, Strasburg, ND and 2 brothers: Galen (Betty) Riedlinger, Bismarck, ND; Verlyn (Martha) Riedlinger, Albertville, AL; a sister-in-law, Marge Riedlinger, Sioux Falls, SD and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jake; a brother, Jim and a brother-in-law, Tony Tschosik.
Funeral - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.
Prayer Service - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND
Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Interment - Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
