Geraldine I. Bernabucci

Geraldine I. Bernabucci was born November 14, 1930 in St. Johns Hospital in Fargo, ND. The daughter of Ozias J. and Luella (Hill) Des Jardins.She attended a one room school near Downer, MN for her first grade, and then attended elementary and high school in Barnesville, MN. She then entered the Nursing Program at St. John's Hospital in Fargo and became a Registered Nurse in 1951. During her training, and after becoming an RN, she worked at St. John's Hospital in Fargo, St. Michael's Hospital in Grand Forks, and Trinity Hospital in Jamestown. She married John R. (Jack) Bernabucci Jr. on November 8, 1952, in St. James Catholic Church in Jamestown, ND. They became the parents of two children, Mary Therese and Paul Anthony. For several years she worked as an OB Clinical Instructor for the LPN Program at Wahpeton State School of Science located at Jamestown Hospital. She was a member of St. James Basilica in Jamestown and at St. Theresa Church in Palm Springs, CA. Since 1990 she and her husband had resided in Palm Springs, CA, and Detroit Lakes, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers, and husband, Jack. She is survived by her two children, Mary des Jardins of Portola Valley, CA and Paul (Gail) Bernabucci of Fargo, ND; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, send gifts to Alzheimer's Association or the University of Mary, Geraldine Bernabucci Nursing Scholarship Fund in Bismarck, ND.
The service for Geraldine will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 11 a.m. at the St. James Basilica in Jamestown, ND.
