Geraldine Krebsbach

Geraldine Barbara (Mitchell) Krebsbach, daughter of William “Bub” and Lydia Mitchell was born on September 1, 1933 in Armstrong, Iowa, where she was baptized and raised. She was lovingly referred to as “Sis” Mitchell. When visiting family in Northern Iowa the phone lines would light up announcing that Sis and her kids were in town.
She grew up being a care-giver to her ailing mother and family from a young age and was no stranger to hard work; from walking beans to detasseling corn and later as a phone operator.
Married to Robert Krebsbach on September 7, 1957. Their union was blessed with four children; Todd David, Debra Jean, Kelly Marie, and Brian Mitchell. They later relocated to Moorhead, Minnesota before settling in the Jamestown area. She moved to Jamestown and took over as owner and operator of Sunset Memorial Gardens, servicing the Stutsman County area for 54 years, until her death.
She taught Catechism for many years, was in Credit Women and Past President of the Kiwanis Club.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrel (Frances), Serle (Karen), and a Granddaughter, Jessica Barbara Smith.
She is survived by her four children and eight grandchildren; Todd Krebsbach of Jamestown, Deb Greenstein of Jamestown, Kelly (Todd Tompkins) Smith of Jamestown, Brian (Mardell) of Oak Grove, MN, Shawn (Shaunda) Krebsbach of Fargo, Dustin Guthmiller of Jamestown, Deven Smith of Jamestown, Dillon (Amy) Myers of Jamestown, Brittany Krebsbach of Oak Grove, MN, Elliot Smith of Jamestown, Bailey Krebsbach of Oak Grove, MN, and Cole Krebsbach of Fargo, great grandchildren; Peyton Guthmiller of Jamestown and McKenna Myers of Jamestown, and Special friend, McKenna Barnick of Jamestown.
The family would like to thank all of the wonderful people who loved, cared for, and supported our mother and Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. James Basilica in Jamestown.
Visitation: 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota
