Gertrude Loraine Moser

April 16, 1926 — November 10, 2020

Gertrude Loraine (Lerew) Moser, 94, Pettibone, North Dakota, died November 10th, 2020, at Eventide Nursing Home, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Gertrude was born April 16th, 1926, in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Samuel Henry Lerew and Cecelia (Pesick) Lerew.

On September 23rd, 1947, Gert married Walter Moser. They started farming north of Medina, ND. In 1960 they moved to Pettibone area where the continued to farm.

Gert loved to cook, do ceramics, gardening and canning. She also helped in their dairy operation and raised chickens and ducks. And she loved listening to gospel music.

Gert is survived by her two sons; Ronald Lee Moser, Woodworth, ND, and Jay Alan Moser (Glenda), Dawson, ND; and one daughter PJ Moser-Kapp (Keith), Stanwood, WA; five grandchildren; Stephanie Kapp- Williams, Cave Creek, AZ; Stacy Kapp, Stanwood, WA; Cody Waliser, Jamestown, ND; Markita Schafer-Rhode, Bismarck, ND; Kayne Moser, Mandan ND, and three great-grandchildren; Corey Bauer, Lynnwood, WA; Kaisha Bauer, Monroe, WA; and Avrianne Schafer, Bismarck, ND; and brother Al Lerew, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Henry Lerew and Cecelia Agatha Lerew, siblings Leona Lerew Dimitre, Lillian Lerew Baumgartner, Mae Elizabeth Parker, Donald George Lerew, Cecil Joseph Lerew, Kenneth Lerew, and Samuel Henry Lerew Jr.

A private family memorial service will be held and burial will be at the medina City Cemetery, Medina, ND.

Arrangements are in the care of the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
