Gladys Schneider Weber, 78, of Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Meritcare Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Gladys Deery was born March 22, 1926 in Jamestown, the daughter of Earl and Tillie (Skeim) Deery. She attended school in Jamestown. Gladys married L.E. ""Bud"" Schneider in April of 1947. She lived in Oregon for 30 years and returned to Jamestown in 1977. Gladys married Earl Weber in August of 1995. Earl died in 1997.
Gladys was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, VFW Auxiliary since 1976, and American Legion Auxiliary, all of Jamestown. Her love for her country and her patriotism showed by her support for the 141st Troops.
She is survived by one son, Doug Schneider of Scappoose, OR; one daughter, Linda Kegg of Scappoose, OR; five grandchildren, Shawna, Ricky, Kari, Scott, and Joe; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Deery of Yankton, SD; one sister, Lois Syverson of Edgeley, ND; numerous nieces and nephews; and several friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeffrey; five brothers, Willis, Clifford, Walter, Leroy, and Kenny; and one sister, Evelyn.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Company B 141st Support Group, P.O. Box 268, Jamestown Armory, Jamestown, ND 58401.
Funeral Mass: 10:30AM, Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown, ND with Father John McGuiness officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Vigil: 7:30 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
