Gloria Buskness

Gloria Buskness, 68, Mandan, North Dakota, formerly of Woodworth, ND, died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at SCCI Hospital in Mandan, ND.

Gloria was born June 25, 1940, the daughter of John and Mary (Bohl) Buskness at Woodworth, North Dakota. She grew up on a farm in the Sykeston area, lived in Illinois for two years, and then returned to Woodworth. She attended a business college in Fargo, ND., worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone for several years, Dakota Bake & Serve, and the Carrington Hospital.

Competition was fierce when Gloria played challenging games, especially Aggravation, with family and friends. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and TV game shows.

Gloria had a love for animals, especially her horse, Ginger.

Gloria had been a resident of Comfort Corner in Woodworth. Due to ill health she had been in hospitals and nursing homes for the past several years.

Gloria is survived by her mother, Mary, Woodworth; son, Brian, Cleveland, ND; grandson, Brandon Pierce, Valley City, ND; granddaughter, Chloee Buskness, Cleveland, ND; sisters, Connie (Bob) Aljets, Harvey, ND, Marilyn (Gayle) Hirsch, Cary, IL; brother, Ronald (Cheryl) Buskness, Woodworth, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Gerald and Donald; sister, Gail; grandparents, Jacob & Louise Bohl and Hans & Bertha Buskness; and nephews, Roger Aljets and Timothy Hirsch.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, August 18, 2008 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Woodworth, ND.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Lunde Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota.
