Harriet A (Plowe) Remmick

Harriet Ann (Plowe) Remmick, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Jamestown under the care of hospice.

Harriet was born on February 24, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Minnie (Breakey) Plowe in Pingree, ND. Harriet received her education in the Edmunds and Pingree school systems. She married Oswald J Remmick of Jamestown, ND. They have one son Robert of Fargo, ND and one daughter, Pauline Schmidt of Jamestown, ND. Harriet was a foster parent for 12 years while living on a farm in near Buchanan, ND. She went to work at the Jamestown State Hospital in 1980 until 1995 when she retired. She liked to crochet, crossword puzzles, gardening and the Minnesota Twin baseball games.

Harriet is survived by her son, Robert (Joyce), daughter, Pauline (Philip) Schmidt, granddaughters; Tami (Jeff) DeBuck, Jamie (Enrique) Schmidt, grandsons; Tim Remmick, Michael (Sadie) Schmidt, Phil Mayer’s daughters; Denise (CJ) Fietek, Phyllis, and son, Joey. Great Grandchildren. Nieces; Linda Mertens, Tootie Taterek and nephew, Charles Plowe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Special friend, Phillip Mayer, brothers; Dan, Wes, Phil, sisters; Katherine and Verna.
