Harriett Drenth, 81, Edgeley, ND, died Monday, July 24, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.
Harriett A. Vernon was born February 7, 1925 on the family farm near Edgeley, ND, the daughter of Harry and Mae (French) Vernon. She was raised and attended school in Edgeley, ND, graduating from Edgeley High School in 1943. After graduating she cared for her family. On July 23, 1946, she married Harry Drenth in Edgeley, ND and they made their home in Edgeley. Harriett worked at the Edgeley Swimming Pool in the summer.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND, United Methodist Women, the Merry Monday Quilters where she served as chairperson and treasurer, the Valley City VFW Auxiliary, and the Manor St. Joseph Auxiliary and the Matrons Club.
Survivors include her husband; 5 children: Charles (Laurel) Drenth, LaMoure, ND; Garry Drenth, Edgeley, ND; David (Sherilyn) Drenth, Jamestown, ND; Steven (Cindy) Drenth, Grand Rapids, MI; Richard (Betty) Drenth, Moses Lake, WA; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers: Ervin Vernon, Center, ND; Harry (Delores) Vernon Jr., Des Moines, IA; Bobby (Joane) Vernon, Phoenix, AZ; Norman Vernon, Michigan; Eugene Vernon, Michigan; 1 sister, Helen Sandvig, Mayville, ND; 2 sisters-in-law, Mamie Vernon, Sartell, MN and Rosemary Vernon, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers: Walter, Warren, Harold and Ronald.
Funeral - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND.
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Friday at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND.
Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND
Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
