Harry L. Hochhalter

Harry L. Hochhalter, 80, Medina, ND died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Jamestown Hospital. Harry was born August 9, 1926 near Woodworth, ND the son of Fred and Emma (Moser) Hochhalter. Harry enlisted in the U. S. Army October 1, 1950 at Fargo, ND, where he served in Germany, was discharged October 4, 1952 at Ft. Custer, MI. He married Ardis Christensen, November 4, 1956, in Medina, ND. They lived and farmed in the Woodworth area until 1997, when he retired and moved to Medina.

Harry was a member of the English Lutheran Church, Medina, the Medina American Legion, Stutsman County Rural Water Board, and Medina Cemetery Board. He was past member of Woodworth Community Development Board, Strong Township Board, Woodworth School and Church Boards.

Harry enjoyed playing cards, visiting friends, and driving around enjoying the countryside.

He is survived by his wife, Ardis, Medina, three sons, Steven (Barb), Woodworth, ND, Scott (Kathy), Bismarck, ND, Stacy (Shelly), Robinson, ND, one daughter, Cynthia (Neil) Goter, Wagner, SD. Five grandchildren, Ashley and April Hochhalter, Kaitlin Goter, Jared and Jordan Hochhalter, one great grandson, Ethan Hochhalter.

Three sisters, Alice Ullrickson, Jamestown, Lillian Peda, Kent, WA, Inez Lund, Carrington, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, (Lawrence and Leroy), one sister, (Gertrude Slotto).

Funeral Service; 2:00 PM, Monday, November 27, 2006 at English Lutheran Church, Medina, ND with Rev. Christopher M. Hogstad officiating.

Prayer Service; 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Visitation; 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial; Medina Cemetery, Medina, ND.
