Harvey T. Haakenson, 59, Pingree, North Dakota died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at his residence in Pingree.
Harvey was born August 24, 1945 in Binford, ND, the son of Henry and Margaret (Gertrude) Haakenson. He attended school in Binford and enlisted with the US Army on November 5, 1964. Harvey served in Europe during the Vietnam Conflict and was discharged on October 14, 1966 at Ft. Hamilton, NY. He worked as a mechanic for Jerry's Excavating in Casselton, ND. Harvey lived in Pingree for some time.
He is survived by two daughters, Shawnda (Chad) Prigelmeier of Dilworth, MN and Jeanette Haakenson of Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Keenan Prigelmeier and Arica Trottier; three brothers, LeRoy and John, both of Jamestown, Dennis of Fargo, ND; eight sisters, Margeane Oien of Binford, ND, Marna May (Robert) Falk of Courtenay, ND, Ruth (Dallas) Johnson of Pingree, ND, Dorothy (Leonard) Bonnet of Goodrich, ND, Evelyn Wagner, Lorraine Sam, Elaine Pillatzke, and Dollie (Marcus) Dockter, all of Jamestown; and one sister-in-law, Lynn Haak of Jamestown, ND.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roger; and one sister, Irene Hegna.
Funeral Service: 10:30AM, Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Rev. Steve Berntson officiating.
Visitation: Monday, April 4, 2005 from 9:00AM to 8:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
