Harvey Holzwarth

Harvey Holzwarth, 98, Jamestown, ND passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Ave Maria Village Nursing Home, Jamestown.
Harvey Holzwarth was born August 15, 1917, in Woodworth, ND to William and Emma (Klooz) Holzwarth. Harvey went to school in rural Woodworth. He farmed in the Buchanan area for many years. Harvey enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. On September 22, 1946, Harvey married Hazel Ness in Buchanan, ND. Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, camping and card playing.
Harvey is survived by; his son, Ron Holzwarth, Buchanan, ND; daughter, Barb (Pat) Graven, Pittsburgh, PA; four grandchildren, Ryan Holzwarth, Kara (Tyler) Falk, Jamestown, Kristopher Graven, Pittsburgh, PA, Kelsey Graven, Pittsburgh, PA; two great-grandchildren, Lucy and Ella Falk; one sister, Inez Murphy, Fairfield, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel, daughter-in-law, Colleen, three brothers and five sisters.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, January 11 at First Congregational-United Church of Christ, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Martin Nussbaum, officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Spring Burial: Buchanan Cemetery.
