Hazel Dobbert, 89, of Robinson, ND died Saturday, October 16, 2004 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, ND.
Hazel Wick was born May 9, 1915 in Robinson the daughter of Gilbert and Julia (Toso) Wick. She was raised and educated in Robinson. Hazel married Lester Dobbert on Thanksgiving Day, 1939, in Bowdon, ND. They then purchased a farm southeast of Robinson and farmed there until 1982, when they retired and moved into Robinson.
Hazel was member of the Harvey Eagles club, President of Women's Auxiliary, a state officer of Ladies Democrat Club and Precinct Committee chairwomen for many years, president of Kidder Co. Democrats and nominated for Democratic Woman of the Year in 1975. She was also a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Robinson, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid in 1942, to which she held many offices, including President.
Hazel loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the holidays when the whole family was together.
She is survived by son, Milton (Carol) Dobbert of Robinson; two daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Gesell of Bemidji, MN and Bonita (Brian) Mayer of Bismarck, ND; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester (Minnie) Wick, Robinson, ND; two sisters, Junes Englerth of Park River, ND and Lillian (Theo) Gunsch of Jamestown, ND; four sisters-in-law, Mary Wick of Robinson, Ruth Wick of Fargo, ND, Luella Wick of Woodworth, ND and Laverne Northway of Downers Grove, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and eight brothers.
Funeral Service: 11:00AM, Thursday, October 21, 2004 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Robinson, ND.
Visitation: Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Robinson, ND.
