Helen S. Miller, 91, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.
Helen S. Johnson was born November 11, 1912 in Jud, North Dakota, the daughter of Michael and Cecelia (Hanson) Johnson. She received her education in rural schools near Jud. Helen married Chris H. Miller on April 4, 1937 in Edgeley, ND. They lived on farms near Nortonville, Millarton and Streeter areas before moving to Jamestown in 1968. Helen was employed at the North Dakota State Hospital in housekeeping for nine years. Chris died April 4, 1980.
Helen was a former Clerk of Sharlow school district, a 4-H leader and Sunday School teacher at Streeter. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, Circle #5, quilting, the Garden Club and bowling leagues.
Helen is survived by a son, Charles (LaVina) Miller, Eagan, MN; three daughters, Jane (Richard) Kamletz, Jamestown, Dorothy (James) Marier, Wheatland, ND and Marilyn (Bruce) Sailer, Boulder City, NV; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one sister, Edna Kirmis, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Doris Odenbach, one brother, Harry Johnson and one sister, Margaret Bedker.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, October 11, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 10, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
