Helena Seher, 93, Stanton, California, formerly of Jamestown, North Dakota left to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2004. She passed away at the Anaheim Health Care Center in Anaheim, CA.
Helena Mayer was born August 29, 1910 in Newberry township, south of Medina, ND, the daughter of Philip and Wilhemina (Schultz) Mayer. She received her education in the Medina area. Helena married Edward Seher in 1928 in Jamestown. They lived and worked on farms in the Streeter area and in 1942 moved to Jamestown. Helena moved in December 1991 to the Los Angeles, CA area to live with her daughters.
Helena's greatest pasttimes were her gardening and quilting. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army for many years.
Helena is survived by one daughter, June Schauer, Stanton, CA, one son, Wayne Seher, Coeur d'Alene, ID, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Valentina Hoffmann and Darlene Seher, one grandson, five sisters and three brothers.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 12, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor JoAnne Moeller officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, June 11, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown, ND.
Burial: Streeter Cemetery, Streeter, North Dakota.
