Helmer Willie Williamson Jr.

Helmer ""Willie"" Williamson, Jr., 70, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown. Willie was born February 7, 1933 in Millarton, ND the son of Helmer, Sr. and Dorothy (Fode) Williamson. He attended school in Millarton and was raised on the family farm there. Willie entered the US Army on March 1, 1951 in Fargo and served during the Korean conflict in the Philippine Islands. He was discharged from Camp Stoneman, CA on January 22, 1954. Willie married LaDonna Babcock on November 20, 1954 in Montpelier, ND. Willie worked for Bridgeman Russell and Foremost Dairy in Jamestown for 22 years. Later, he was in partnership with a mobile home dealership in Jamestown until his retirement. He won several sales awards from Schult Mobile Homes.

He was a life long member of the V.F.W., the Eagles and Trinity Lutheran Church all of Jamestown.

Willie enjoyed his farm, riding his Harley and restoring trucks, cars and tractors.

Willie is survived by his wife, LaDonna of Jamestown, two daughters, Lynn (Kerry) Wicks, Jamestown, and Lisa (Jim) Murray, Chicago, IL and one son, David Williamson, Jamestown, seven grandchildren and one sister, Beverly (Ralph) Molbert, Steele, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Terry Anderson officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
