Henry Ludwig Behle

Henry Behle born April 8th 1943 of Adrian, ND passed away Sept 17, 2019. He was born at the Marion, ND Hospital to Fred and Taletta Behle (DeBoer) . Baptized and confirmed at the Adrian Trinity Lutheran Church. He attended Banner Country School in Adrian ND Graduated from Dickey High School Class of 61. Henry lived a life of service. Growing up on family farm in Adrian he developed a special love for the Fall harvest, which continued to grow his whole life. After high school joined a harvest crew and in 64 joined the US Navy. He had many travels overseas on the US Navy Montrose during the Vietnam War. Serving 4 years he returned back home living in Minneapolis MN with Sandra Maisel where his son Henry Behle the IV was born and he began his lifetime career in the dental equipment and sales business. In 1971 his father incurred a farm accident calling Henry back to his home in Adrian. Along with Sandra Maisel, his step daughter Tamara Pekarski, and his son Henry, they began a dairy farm. This grew into a partnership with his brother Paul and Kathie Behle (Maisel) and in 1980 began P&H Behle Dairy on the home family farm. In 2001, he and his brother Paul discontinued the dairy business. Henry continued in the dental sales business P & H Dental travelling throughout ND SD and MN while continuing the family farm with beef and grain production. He never retired running a cow/calf operation on the home farm. He is known for his custom seeding and haying in the LaMoure county area. You could join Henry for coffee daily at the Adrian Elevator and lunch at the Dickey Farmers Café. And for a night cap you could join him at the Dickey Bar and talk farming. He is survived by his son Henry, brother Paul Behle and sister Cora Harr. Preceded in death by his parents Fred and Taletta, as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles. He had a special love for Cockshutt tractors and you could see him and many of his perfectly running Cockshutts at the annual KSJB tractor tour.
