Henry Schrader Jr.

Henry Schrader, 85, Adrian, ND died at Jamestown Hospital on Friday, September 15, 2006.

Henry (Johnnie) Schrader Jr. was born October 9, 1920 on the family farm located in Adrian Township near Adrian, ND, the son of Henry W. and Beatrice (Witzig) Schrader. He attended Adrian Township School and graduated from Adrian High School in 1939. Henry married Bea Knudson on October 9, 1939 at Adrian. They farmed near Adrian until retiring in 1988. He had also spent several years custom combining.


Henry enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling and was an avid Twins and Viking fan. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Adrian, ND and also a member of the AAL and Farmers Union.


Survivors include 3 daughters, Karol (Allen) Schlenker, Montpelier, ND, Sharen Knispel, Malcolm, NE, and Sandra (Selmer) Smith, Minneota, MN; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Milford (Bus) and his wife (Maxine), and Donald (Verna Mae), both Jamestown; 2 sisters-in-law, Karen McKnight, Virginia Beach, Virgina and Joy (Alan) Carpenter, Dickey, ND; 3 brothers-in-law, Jack (Elaine) Knudson, Jamestown, Darwin (Diane) Knudson, Danridge, TN, and Gary (Karen) Knudson, New York; and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian, ND.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown and for 1 hour prior to services in the church on Thursday.
Interment: Adrian Cemetery, Adrian, ND.
