Howard Sam

Howard Sam, 53, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. Rose Care Center in LaMoure, North Dakota.

Howard was born August 7, 1954 in Gackle, ND, the son of Harry and Velda (Weckwerth) Sam. He attended Medina Public School. Howard did lawn care service in Medina for many years.

Howard was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Jamestown and the Medina Wildlife Club. He enjoyed fishing, watching basketball games and especially spending time with his family and friends.

Howard is survived by his mother, Velda, of Jamestown; one brother, Delbert Sam; two sisters, Delores Sam and Ardella James, all of Jamestown; four nieces; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother-in-law, Joseph James.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: none scheduled

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
