Howard Arlo Wolf

Howard Arlo Wolf, 67, Ypsilanti, North Dakota died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his home.

Howard was born July 24, 1940 near Cleveland, North Dakota, the son of Albert Harold and Lena (Schuler) Wolf. He attended area elementary rural schools and graduated from Jamestown High School. He went to work for a short time at the Ypsilanti Elevator and also worked on a road construction crew. On June 12, 1960 Howard married Carolgene Whitney at the Ypsilanti Lutheran Church. They farmed near Ypsilanti for 48 years.

Howard had a passion for his horses and horse pulling. He loved cats, especially Smokey, his tractor cat. He enjoyed his lifelong vocation of farming and was a good steward of the land. He looked forward to singing with the quartet and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown. He also served on several committees at St. Paul's and was on the Ypsilanti Township board for the past 34 years.

Howard is survived by his wife, Carolgene, of Ypsilanti; one daughter, Tamela Jean (Donald Loren) Sperr, Donnelly, MN; two grandchildren, Adam Charles Sperr (fiancee' Michelle Marie Horning) and Rachel Jean Sperr, all of Donnelly, MN; one brother, Terry Wolf, Ypsilanti; two sisters, Marilyn (Kenneth) Trautman, Cleveland, ND and Darlene (Jerry) Michel, Jamestown and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Deloise and Lorene Wolf.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, January 28, 2008 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown with Pastor Gary Ball-Kilbourne officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND.
