Ida Frank, 92, Edgeley, ND died Friday, May 12, 2006 at Hi Acres Manon, Jamestown, ND.
Ida S. Reimann was born on March 28, 1914 on the family farm near Forbes, ND the daughter of John and Martha (Smith) Reimann. She attended a country school near Forbes and later graduated from New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo, ND. Ida married Otto Schneider in March of 1934. They lived in Forbes, ND where they operated a café. They were the parents of 1 daughter, Betty Jean. Otto died in 1941. She moved to Edgeley in 1945 and opened the Vogue Beauty Salon of Edgeley. She operated it for 60 years before retiring. Ida married John Frank on June 29, 1951. They made Edgeley their home. He died in February of 1983. Ida continued to live in Edgeley. She became a resident of Hi Acres Manor, Jamestown, in 2004.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jean (Richard) Carow, Edgeley, ND; 1 granddaughter, Jean Pierette (Daron) Johnson, Mandan, ND; 2 great grandchildren: Kristin Maejean Johnson and Ethan Robert Johnson, both Mandan; and 2 step great grandchildren: Chelsey Jo and Casey Rae Johnson, also Mandan. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and 1 sister, Molly.
Ida was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND. She became a full Communicant with Zion on September 28, 1963. She was a member of the Zion Church Choir and enjoyed playing the organ, piano and especially the accordion. Ida also enjoyed cooking and crocheting, especially making things for her family and friends such as doilies, sweaters, and blankets.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND with Reverend Alan Eppen officiating.
Prayer Service: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lisko Funeral Chapel and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
