Ida Feist Weigel

Ida Feist Weigel, 95, of Edgeley, ND, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at Villa Maria, Fargo, ND.

Ida was born on March 29, 1919, on a farm 18 miles south of Napoleon, ND. She was the 11th of 13 children born to Raymond and Theresa (Senger) Feist. She moved with her family to Edgeley in 1934. Ida and Mike Weigel were married on April 22, 1940 at Edgeley. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cooking, baking and sewing. Mike died on December 25, 1981. Ida moved to Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley in June of 2005 where she resided for ten years, and then she moved to Villa Maria, Fargo, in January of 2015.

Ida is survived by three daughters and three sons, Josie (Gary) Lammer, West Fargo, ND, Betty Wehage, San Clemente, CA, Mary (Don) Herk, Tucson, AZ, Larry (Debbie) Weigel, Pinellas Park, FL, Michael (Vickie) Weigel, Edmond, OK, and Mark (Sandie) Weigel, Mobile, AL; son-in-law, Ken Horner, Bismarck, ND; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; daughter, Theresia “Terry” Horner on December 3, 1999; son-in-law, Ken Wehage on January 3, 2013; and 12 sisters and brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Lawrence, Frank, Katherine, Regina, Elizabeth, Theresa, Marcella, Lucy, Maggie, and Tillie.

Ida’s family wishes to thank Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley and the staff of Villa Maria, Fargo for their great care of their mom and grandmother.

Mass of Christian Burial : 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley.
