Idella Billington

Idella Billington, 92, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Idella Wallner was born April 24, 1913 in Tappen, North Dakota, the daughter of Louis H. and Lillie (Froemming) Wallner. She grew up and attended school in Tappen, ND. On June 11, 1932 Idella married Cecil L. Billington in Tappen. In 1935 they moved to Crystal Springs where Cec became manager of Powers Elevator. In 1937 they moved to Eldridge, ND, in 1948 to Cleveland, ND and in 1950 they moved to Dawson, ND. Idella and Cecil retired in 1970 and moved to Jamestown. Cecil died on June 14, 1983. Idella continued living in Jamestown.

Idella was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and Theos.

Idella is survived by two nieces: Judy (John) Kroke, Owatonna, MN, and Cora (Dennis) Duin, Louisville, NE. Other close nieces include: Ann (Roger) Robertson, Breau Arlington, TX, Carol Robertson Kline, Fargo, ND, Billi Odegaard, Aloha OR and Leanne Odegaard Fernald, Boulder City, NV, all formerly of Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Harold Wallner.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 13, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Pastor Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
