Ila Mae Bohannon, 95, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at her home in Jamestown.
Ila Mae Tribbett was born July 27, 1914 in Yuma, Colorado, the daughter of Edgar and Elizabeth (Lensert) Tribbett. She graduated from Yuma High School in Yuma, CO. In 1934 Ila married Oliver Paris. She married Charles Bohannon in 1954. They lived in Oregon until 1997, when they moved to Jamestown. Charles died in 1999.
She loved Jamestown and the beautiful seasons, singing in the Gardenette Choir and watching her grandchildren grow.
Ila is survived by her son, Kenneth (Ann) Paris, Flower Mound, TX; daughter, Stella Wheeler, Jamestown; daughter-in-law, Leontine Paris, Chester, WV; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Ewing, McMinnville, OR, Margie McCall, Yuma, CO, Sylvia (Leonard) Roth, Salem, OR and Shirley (Jan) Fox, McMinnville, OR; two brothers, Charles (Cleo) Tribbett, Yamhill, OR and Gene (Joan) Tribbett, McMinnville, OR; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harley & Howard; husbands; sister, Eunice Covington; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Ewing; Clarence Covington and Mark McCall; two grandsons, Brad and Stan Paris; two great-granddaughters; Amanda and Tiffany Paris; step-son Walter and son-in-law, Harold Wheeler.
Celebration of her Life: 11:00 AM, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown, with Father Kevin Goodrich officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.
Burial: 3:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2009 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown Hospital or the Salvation Army, all of Jamestown.
