Irene Lee, 84, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.

Irene Stroh was born May 14, 1924 in Jamestown, the daughter of Fred Stroh and Pauline Nitschke Stroh. She attended school in Jamestown and Pingree, and graduated from Pingree High School. Irene and Robert \""Bob\"" had two sons, Gary (Minot) and Dale (deceased).

Prior to her husband?s death, the couple maintained a large garden and shared wonderful home grown foods with family and friends. Irene was always very proud of her flowers and had a green thumb with house plants. She was an avid reader and especially liked mystery novels. She liked animals and always had a dog or cat in her home. Following Bob?s death, Irene moved to the Gardenette where she lived until a series of strokes forced her move to Hi-Acres Manor where she resided until her death.

Irene is survived by her son Gary and his wife Kathy, Minot, ND; three grandchildren, Carisa in Minot, Corey in Dickinson and Jason in Jamestown; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dale; her husband; and parents.
