Irene Miller

Irene Miller, 89, Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.
Irene Julia Tatarek was born March 21, 1917 at Windsor, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Leona Marie (Thimmesch) Tatarek. She began school in Windsor and later moved with her family to Jamestown, ND where she attended St. John's Academy where she played basketball and sang in the choir. She married Arthur C. Miller from Gackle, ND and they made their home in Jamestown, ND. Irene worked at the North Dakota State Hospital in dietary services for 13 years.
She was a member of The Basilica Of St. James, Jamestown, ND. She loved people and always had the coffee pot on for anyone who would drop in. She loved music, singing and dancing. Irene was an avid bingo player and enjoyed helping the residents at Central Dakota Village on bingo days.
Survivors include 10 children: Barbara Agnew, Bismarck, ND; Thomas (Laurel) Miller, Libby, MT; James (Carmen) Miller, Libby, MT; Michael (Geri) Miller, Libby, MT; Mary (Bill) Jensen, Billings, MT; Marvin (Mary Jo) Miller, Billings, MT; Linda (Wendell) Vigen, Killdeer, ND; Sue (Keith) Beard, Moffit, ND; Wendi (Pat) Falter, Jamestown, ND; Mark (Kathy) Miller, Jamestown, ND; 38 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Catherine (Milton) Netzer, Ely, MN; 2 brothers: George (Janice) Tatarek, Seattle, WA; Arnold (Shirley) Tatarek, Seattle, WA and 2 sisters-in-law, Donna Tatarek, Seattle, WA and Tootie Tatarek, Superior, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, Martin, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral Service - 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at The Basilica Of St. James, Jamestown, ND.
Prayer Service - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
Interment - Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
