Irene Walch

Irene Walch, 87, Jamestown, ND passed away Monday, December 19, 2022 at Eventide Jamestown.

Irene Walch was born September 24, 1935 to Lloyd and Charlotte (Wright) Case in Jamestown, ND.  She graduated high school in Goodrich, ND.  Irene married John Walch on August 12, 1956 in Goodrich, ND.

She was very active in First United Methodist Church, Red Hats Society, square dancing in various states and Canada, and Roaming Buffalo Camping Club.

Earlier in her life she was active in Legislation for disabled individuals in the early 1970’s.  She managed the thrift store for the disabled individuals.

Irene is survived by son Mark (Priscilla) Walch, Cloquet, MN, son Kurt Walch, Jamestown, ND; daughter Pennie Walch, Valley City, ND; two grandsons Ryan Walch, Jamestown, ND and Ross (Ashley) Walch, Jamestown, ND; three sisters Lois Neff, Linda Lee, Renee Berreth; two brothers Lloyd Case and Robert Case.  She was preceded in death by her husband John, sister Patricia Mertz and brother Floyd Case.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating.  Interment will take place in the spring at Highland Home Cemetery.
